چکیده
This study was conducted based on the limited availability of research comparing the KABC-II and WISC-IV. The study included 30 Caucasian students between the ages of 6 years, 7 months to 16 years 11 months who attend rural school districts in Ohio and West Virginia and were referred due to academic concerns; the sample consisted of 19 females and 11 males with an average age of 9 years, 7 months. Results found the correlation between the FSIQ and the MPI was r = .88, n = 30, p < .05 and the relationship between the FSIQ and the FCI to be r = .91, n = 30, p < .05. Results of a t-test found the FSIQ and FCI to be t(29)=.075, p > .05. T-test results for the FSIQ and MPI was t(29) = .726, p > .05. The standard error of estimate was found to be 4.5. Structure of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children--Fourth Edition among a national sample of referred students.
The structure of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition (WISC-IV; D. Wechsler, 2003a) was analyzed via confirmatory factor analysis among a national sample of 355 students referred for psychoeducational evaluation by 93 school psychologists from 35 states. The structure of the WISC-IV core battery was best represented by four first-order factors as per D. Wechsler (2003b), ...

BACKGROUND Subtest and factor scores have typically provided little incremental predictive validity beyond the omnibus IQ score. AIMS This study examined the incremental validity of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Fourth UK Edition (WISC-IV(UK) ; Wechsler, 2004a, Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Fourth UK Edition, Harcourt Assessment, London, UK) and factor index scores i...

This study used structural equation modeling to examine the effect of Stratum III (i.e., general intelligence) and Stratum II (i.e., Comprehension-Knowledge, Fluid Reasoning, Short-Term Memory, Processing Speed, and Visual Processing) factors of the Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) cognitive abilities, as operationalized by the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fourth Edition (WISC-IV; Wechsl...

Scatter analysis of IQ profiles has a long and controversial history. We conducted this study to determine whether the validity of scatter information is any greater for 2 new IQ batteries, the Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (K-ABC) and the Fourth Edition Stanford-Binet (SB4), than for the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised (WISC-R). Within a sample of referred children, ...

The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition (WISC-IV) is one of the most frequently used intelligence tests in clinical assessments of children with learning difficulties. Construct validity studies of the WISC-IV have generally supported the higher order structure with four correlated first-order factors and one higher-order general intelligence factor, but recent studies have ...
